I was watching Naked City last week and it started off with Peter Falk on a roof shooting down at cops. I thought, cool, Peter Falk is in this episode, just as I thought that, Eli Wallach goes up there and blows him away. I got disappointed, thats it ? he wasn't in there for two minutes, not even listed in the credits. How much money did an actor make back then for 2 minutes work ? George Maharis was also in it so it was pre-Route 66.

For a few minutes, just guessing but back then probably less 500 dollars.Of course it also depended on the actor. Salaries for actors were so much lower then.On Gilligans Island for example each cast member made around 3 thousand dollars an episode.Even adjusted for inflation it's a very small fraction of the obscene amount people on tv make nowadays.
