Question Most tyrannical boss on TV

And it can be classic TV from the 1960's-1980's,or more recent TV from today.Pick one or as many as you like-1)Alan Brady (beginning of "The Dick Van Dyke Show") 2)Alan Brady(last season of "The Dick Van Dyke Show" 3)Mr.Spacely of the 1962-1963 ORIGINAL ABC version of "The Jetsons" 4)Mr.Spacely of the 1980's "The Jetsons"5)Mr.Slate from "The Flintstones"6)Mr.Burns from "The Simpsons"7)Larry Tate on "Bewitched"(from the fourth season(1967-1968)on to the end,his greed showed. My choices:2,4,5(somewhat),6 and 7.

Larry Tate has to win this category - hands down. The way he kept Darrin in a headlock in both his (Darrin's) work and home lives was horrible. Someone like him would be fired/sued today in a heartbeat. It's a real testimony to actor David White that he was able to bring some humanity to the role.

I agree with those who mentioned Larry Tate and Mr Mooney of the "Lucy Show". Also up there, and no less of an evil tyrant, I might add, is Mr. Milburn Drysdale, the banker on "The Beverly Hillbillies". The way he treats Jane Hathaway in particular, and his other employees in general, along with his continuous obsession with keeping the Clampetts' millions in his bank, would surely place him high on any classic TV fans' list of evil bosses.

Um... Lou Grant on Mary Tyler Moore Show!

Also... Alexis Carrington on Dynasty

Amanda Woodward on Melrose Place

Rebecca Howe on Cheers (mostly at the beginning of her run when she wasn't well liked)

The Facts of Life:

Season 5: When Jo took up the slack for Mrs. G during the Edna Edibles years...it was sexy as hell to watch though...

This and it's not even close. The way he expected Miss Hathaway to do his bidding, no matter how poorly planned or even illegal, made her more a slave than an employee.
