Hello! I'm new here, obviously. I discovered this message board after I was googling some old UM clips I saw on youtube. I've been really enjoying reading lots of old threads and posts on episodes I had totally forgotten about. Usually I'm a lurker on boards, not so much of a poster, but I thought maybe you guys could help?
I was wondering if anyone could help me find the details of an episode I saw as a kid and have always remembered. It scared me immensely when I saw it, and it's always kind of haunted me. It was about a murderer who killed a woman who was a checkout girl at a convenience store (or possibly a grocery store?). It was the middle of the night and a man bought a bottle of bleach from the girl, then abducted her, took her to somewhere remote, and killed her after forcing her to drink the bleach. I'm fuzzy on the rest of the details, I think there may have actually been more than one murder like this, with the forced bleach drinking, but I don't remember. Also, it is entirely possible it wasn't bleach but ammonia or cleaning fluid or something else just as horrible. I really want to find out if this murderer was caught. Or if I'm even remembering right, haha. For years I have been pretty convinced this was in an episode of UM but I was just a kid when I saw it, and my memory isn't always the best. So I suppose it's also possible this was a part of some other true crime show, or maybe even a made for tv movie? I have looked through a lot of threads here as well as tried every permutation of searching on google for any shred of info on any case like this and can't find anything. Thank you. |

There was a movie called "True Crime" with Alicia Silverstone and Kevin Dillon where the latter's character used his cop status and made a young girl go into a store to ask for drugs and she came up empty. He then took her to a park, forced her to drink bleach, and stabbed her. It was pretty creepy even if only made for TV.

I looked it up and found some clips. I think that you are right. Thank you. Brrrr. I'm so so glad it wasn't a real murder but still, you're right, it is creepy for a made for tv movie.
The bad acting is must be why I remembered it as a UM segment. Thank you again for your help.

I totally remember that TV movie!! it was disturbing to me at the time also. they have it on the website where you can get movies shipped to you. (Not sure if I'm allowed to mention that site's name on here.)

Yikes! Glad to find out that it was just a movie.
Although on a side note, two women got into a bleach fight a couple days ago a walmart that sent 19 people to the hospital. I think they were throwing it and splashing it on each other but one person ended up with it in their eyes. No forced bleach drinking or anything quite that horrible. Not sure on the prognosis of the injured people, tho. I sure hope the person's vision isn't permanently damaged. Oh, and I just remembered, a few years ago, there was a young woman in NY who was tortured in her apartment for hours. The attacker slit her eyelids, tied her to the bed and set it on fire, I believe he also made her shower and soak herself in bleach... not the only crime where I've heard of the victim being doused in bleach in an attempt to destroy DNA evidence. This young lady survived. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/25193363.../#.TpHLi97qNpw |

Holy *Bleep* Tracy!! I could never imagine living through something like that!! :/ I give her credit for being strong throughout the ordeal and the painful rehab that must've happened later.
