Eek The 10 Worst Horror Sequels I've Seen

These are what I consider the worst, these aren't even the so bad they're good kind like Troll 2 or The Howling 3.

In no particular order....

I Spit On Your Grave 2: Savage Vengeance '93
From everything I've read Camille Keaton refuses to discuss this film when asked, she even used a fake name when it was originally released. So Jennifer from the original gets raped again! And supposedly the owner of the house where it was filmed was uncomfortable with nudity, so we now have a rape/revenge flick with zero nudity.

Boogeyman II '83
Though the first film is super cheesy, I think it's a fun film...the majority of the film is just flashbacks of the first Boogeyman, so much so that I wondered why I wasn't just watching it instead.

Return Of The Boogeyman '94
Boogeyman II was so bad, how about a sequel!? And we'll just have lots of clips from the original film because it obviously worked so well for Boogeyman II.

The Hills Have Eyes II '85
Wes Craven has said he only did this sequel because he litarally needed the money. One thing I did learn from this film was dogs have flashbacks, in this the dog from the first film has flashbacks from the first film.

House IV '92
Technically this is House III, as House III is The Horror Show and was only known as House III outside America. Roger Cobb and his new family return to the house from the original film, though the house now seems to be out in the middle of nowhere and not in a suburban neighborhood. When a talking pizza is the highlight of the film.....

Howling II: ... Your Sister Is a Werewolf '85
None of the sequels are winners, but at least Howling III was entertaining in its badness....Christopher Lee apologized to Joe Dante(the director of the original The Howling) for appearing in The Howling 2 when he got the part in Dante's sequel to Gremlins.

Criminally Insane 2 '87
The original Criminally Insane is a great no-budget schlocky so bad it's good flick...despite the fact that this was written and directed by the same guy as the orignal, and Priscilla Alden reprises her role as Ethel, this film is just beyond dull.

Day of the Dead 2: Contagium '05
Taurus Entertainment, James Glenn Dudelson, and Ana Clavell aquired the Rights to some of George Romero's films, SUPPOSEDLY Clavell and Dudelson are Romero fans, you sure wouldn't know it from watching this film or Creepshow III, Dudelson also produced the horrendous Day Of The Dead remake, and the upcoming Creepshow remake.

Creepshow III '06
Let's make a sequel to Creepshow...you know the film that Stephen King and George Romero created together based on stories from Stephen King?...BUT we won't have any stories from Stephen King. Years ago there was rumors that Ralph Bakshi was in talks to do an all-animated Creepshow 3...if only.

Silent Night, Deadly Night Part 2 '87
Like Boogeyman II, this film is mainly flashbacks of the original film...if the film would have minimized the flashbacks they could have had a decent sequel because the non-flashback scenes are somewhat entertaining.

I actually kind of liked Blair Witch 2.

I actually really like this one...because it's so cheesy and fun, great characters(Ethyl and her son especially)...now Jason Takes Manhattan, Jason Goes To Hell, and Jason X those are stinkers.

I definitely agree with Exorcist II and Poltergeist III.

It wasn't The New Blood that was part VII. Part V was A New Beginning.

I like both of these. As a standalone film Halloween III is a fun little horror flick, Tom Atkins is good in anything.

Jaws 2 I think is a good sequel....now... Jaws: The Revenge

Agree on Halloween III, I love the way it's so depraved and at least tried to do something different. Wasn't there a plan to make a Halloween movie every year, with only the holiday to connect them, and little or no references to Michael Myers?

Jaws 2 was OK, but just a clone of the first. Jaws: The Revenge...almost unwatchable, actually.

Actually, a rule of thumb for me is that pretty much ANYTHING with the word "new" in the title can almost be counted upon to suck.

Yes, Carpenter didn't want there to be anymore films with Michael, so they were going to have each movie be a separate story.
