Rebecca and Carla together again! Rhea Perlman is reuniting with her Cheers co-star Kirstie Alley on a potential new multi-camera comedy series, this time on ABC.

Perlman has closed a deal to co-star opposite Alley in Alley’s ABC pilot The Manzanis. The family comedy, written by sitcom veterans Marco Pennette and Dave Flebotte, stars Alley as Angela Manzani, an opinionated wife/mother who, along with her Italian-American family, moves to a quiet New Jersey neighborhood where they clash with their new, WASPy neighbors.

Perlman will play Angela’s mother in law Camille Manzani.

Kirstie Alley DOB: 1/12/1951

Rhea is less than three years older than Kirstie, yet they have her playing Kirstie's mother, lol.

That's one show I probably would not be watching. When the hell will they be featuring Shelley Long in something

In any event I will give that show about 5 episodes before it's canceled. Maybe Shelley does not want to be in anything....still mad

On the Golden girls Estelle was younger that Dorothy and yet she played her mother.
