Question Which format did you like better?

Format A)When he was host of that talk show in Phoenix,Arizona,or B)When he played that doctor on that soap opere when he and Jenny and their daughter moved to Los Angeles,California? For me,I prefered format B.It was a little bit more like "The Dick Van Dyke Show"than format A.How about the rest of you?

Hmm, I prefer the first format by far. The second format seemed too oriented around the soap opera and actors. The first format I found more relatable and funnier.

I liked the second format much better. The first version was very disappointing in that they just copied the Buddy, Sally, and Laura characters with actors who couldn't do them as well. The only episodes that worked were ones that were almost all Dick Van Dyke. In the second format they dropped some of them, featured the wife less, and the whole show actually worked. It's too bad they quit when it became a really funny show. It probably would've run five years, been well remembered, and considered a very good success for Dick Van Dyke.

I think I liked the second format. It seemed to have alot more characters. I loved the second opening theme.
