Default Marriage vows

Okay we talked about Niles and Daphne's proposal but what about their wedding vows? I thought they were just beautiful. I have tears in my eyes every time I watch the scene. So heartfelt and meaningful. Those vows describe their relationship perfectly.

Daphne:"I Daphne Moon take thee Niles Crane as my husband. I promise you my fidelity and my support, my laughter and my tears, my constant friendship and my unending love, as long as we both shall live."

Niles: "I, Niles Crane, do take thee, Daphne Moon, as my wife. I vow to you my fidelity and my support, my honor and my respect, my honesty and my protection. You are my comfort, my joy, and my one true love. I will cherish you all the days of my life, and treasure the journey which has brought us to this most wonderful, perfect place."

They were beautiful and I think it's funny that in "Ring Cycle" that they kept shortening them because they kept having to say them over and over! Like Daphne said they start losing their meaning after a while.

And how about that kiss at their 'real' wedding in Reno... "You may kiss the bride" *melts*

BTW, Andress, I love your avatar. That's one of my all time favorite Frasier scenes. Their first "stolen" kiss. I could watch that scene over and over... sigh...

I watched their "3 wedding" episode last night. So funny and one of my favorites. Wish they had gotten them together sooner so we could have more N/D episodes. Donny was way too short for her, plus I didn't think they made a good couple. The first time I saw where Niles married Mel, I almost had a cow because I wanted him to be with Daphne.

Yes, I agree. It was funny when Niles was trying to remember them. I'm just glad we got to see the original vows, I just melted.

I love the avatar too and the scene. It was just so cute how shy they were at first. They were just too cute for words.

Trust me, you weren't alone. The saving grace is that we didn't have to see Niles and Mel's wedding. I didn't like Donny and Daphne together either, they weren't a good match. I hated Mel and was so happy when Niles told her off in front of her rich snobby friends. It showed how much he really loved Daphne. Niles and Daphne were just the best couple, ever!
