Question Prime time comedies that aired on the networks DAYTIME schedule

And they can be in the 1960's,1970's and 1980's daytime schedule.Name them.Example:In the late 1960's,CBS aired reruns of "The Dick Van Dyke Show"as"The Dick Van Dyke Daytime Show"and black and white reruns of "The Andy Griffith Show"as"Andy of Mayberry".Know of any other prime time comedies that aired on the daytime schedule?

As a kid, I watched Family Ties and Diff'rent Strokes on NBC's morning schedule, and Who's the Boss, Growing Pains, Mr. Belvedere and Webster on ABC in the morning.

One oddity was Full House, an ABC show that ran on NBC daytime during the summer of 1991.

ABC showed daytime reruns of "HAPPY DAYS" & "LAVERNE & SHIRLEY" in the 70s. I read that they called them "HAPPY DAYS AGAIN" & "LAVERNE & SHIRLEY AND COMPANY" but I don't remember that.
CBS showed reruns of "THE BEVERLY HILLBILLIES" , "ONE DAY AT A TIME" and "ALL IN THE FAMILY" during the day. Also "MASH"-but of course, that was only a comedy in its first 3 seasons.
NBC used to show reruns of "SANFORD & SON" and "CHICO AND THE MAN" on weekdays in the 70s.

I also remember watching network daytime reruns of 'The Brady Bunch', 'The Jeffersons', 'Alice', 'The Facts of Life', and 'Diff'rent Strokes'. I wish the networks still did this instead of showing talk shows.

When I was little I remember seeing Rawhide in the daytime. when I was in about 3rd grade, I remember being home from school because of snow and seeing Dick Van Dyke, I love Lucy and The Donna Reed Show. After school we would watch Superman and the old Mickey Mouse Club. Now it's all talk shows and other boring stuff.

Positive. It was summer only, and it was immediately before it launched into local syndication. I think they only showed seasons 3 and 4. I don't remember seeing any promos for it, however, but it was definitely on NBC (and not just my local affiliate).

Twenty years later, I still have no idea why NBC was rerunning an ABC show--and a current ABC show, at that!

that's right; I forgot about all them. I think CBS also used to rerun "NEWHART" on weekday afternoons and NBC reran "THE COSBY SHOW" on weekday afternoons too, in the 80s.

no, they also showed the Col. Potter/Charles/B.J. episodes of "THE ALAN ALDA SHOW" (as well as showing reruns in late night) and also some of the later episodes of "AITF".

Here's what I was able to find. Not sure if it's complete, but it attempts to be a list of all primetime shows rerun on the networks during the day. It looks like this practice was ended by all three networks right around the same time: about twenty years ago. 1992 for CBS (their last show was Designing Women), 1990 for ABC (Perfect Strangers) and 1991 for NBC (Full House).

CBS
Alice (June, 1980-September, 1982)
All in the Family (December, 1975-September, 1979)
The Andy Griffith Show (October, 1964-September, 1970
The Beverly Hillbillies (September, 1966-September, 1972)
Candid Camera (September, 1966-September, 1968)
December Bride (October, 1959-March, 1961)
Designing Women (April, 1991-June, 1992)
The Dick Van Dyke Show (September, 1965-September, 1969)
Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C. (September, 1969-March, 1972)
Family Affair (September, 1970-January, 1973)
Here's Lucy (May-November, 1977)
I Love Lucy (January, 1959-September, 1966)
The Jack Benny Daytime Show (August, 1964-September, 1965)
The Lucy Show (September, 1968-September, 1972)
The Jeffersons (February, 1980-September, 1981)
M*A*S*H (September, 1978-September, 1979)
The McCoys (October, 1962-October, 1964)

One Day at a Time (September, 1979-September, 1982)

The landscape of daytime television has changed dramatically in the past twenty-five years. Do you think we'll ever see the return of daytime reruns on the networks?

I think the networks have pretty much ceded most of the daytime it doesn't program back to the affiliates who run either talk, court or informercials.

Bumping this thread to say that until 2 years ago my local CBS station aired Frasier during daytime. It was on at 1:00PM.

I do remember the Perfect Strangers and Full House showings in the early 90s.

I would watch both shows because they were on during different time slots. I was a kid (like 4-5) and that's how I got into both sitcoms.

I do wish they'd go back to showing the old sitcoms during daytime. Instead of these stupid talk shows. I'd much rather catch a rerun of something rare (to syndication) like Perfect Strangers, My Two Dads, or Blossom.
