There were 5 former TDVDS staffers who directed episodes of TMTMS. They are Jerry Paris and Alan Rafkin who had also directed episodes of TDVDS, John C. Chulay who had been an assistant director on the Van Dyke show, Marjorie Mullen who was the script supervisor on the Van Dyke show, and Jerry Belson who had been a writer on TDVDS.
