Yes, there was an episode where Mr. George Wilson bets Dennis he can't stop talking for, I believe, 24 hours. I think he promises Dennis a gold coin if he not talk for a day. Not sure of that, but I am sure there was an episode where Dennis had to stop talking to win Mr. Wilson's bet. This was also the episode (it's coming back to me) where Mr. Wilson was accused of kicking a dog after it bit at him, Dennis was a witness and could help out but won't talk because of the bet.

The Season 3 Episode Silence is Golden Mr Wilson bets Dennis he cant stop talking, Mr Wilson offers to give Dennis his magnifying glass if he can keep quiet for "the rest of the day". Mrs. Elkins accuses Mr. Wilson of tying a tin can to her cat Tinkerbell's tail, Dennis knows that Mr. Wilson didnt do it because he saw Johnny Brady do it but Dennis wont talk because there is still 2 hours left in the bet, Mr. Wilson finally gives Dennis the magnifying glass and Dennis clears everything up with Mrs. Elkins.
