I just found that 9 years ago last Tuesday was the last time Unsolved Mysteries aired a new episode and being the last episode of the Robert Stack era. It was the one about Ashley Pond and Miranda Gaddis, 2 girls who were later found dead on the killer's property. I can't believe it's been that long ago since a new episode has been filmed. I remember watching the 11th and 12th (final) season late at night when I was a preteen and being sucked into the show. I was sad and furious when they ended the Robert Stack-era episode re-runs in August 2006 and then bringing it back under a crummy banner. I wonder what Unsolved Mysteries would've been like had it went into a 13th season?

Actually, the last season was the show's 13th season. It lasted nine seasons on NBC (excluding the pre-series specials), two seasons on CBS, and two more seasons on Lifetime.

it said 12 on the episode guide, but I guess it could be wrong.
