Default Brian Damage, your Giants did two nice things for me today-lol

1. Beat the Eagles

2. Broke Vick's hand

LOL, what a wonderful sunday. I would have preferred if they broke his leg or his throwing hand. And I can't remember the last time Eli had more than 2 TD passes and NO INTERCEPTIONS LOL

You will see the big story later on NBC and ESPN that Vick stated after the game the refs are allowing players to hit him late and not throw a flag

what a bitch. He can do nothing but whine now since they lost 2 in a row

The way Vick plays, he's going to get hit. You can't have it both ways. Football is a violent game. Suck up and play it.

Yea I just saw his comments. He's a big baby. All QBs get hit. It's part of the game and when you play like he does, you have to keep pressure on him. The Eagles were stupid giving all that money to a QB that can't stay healthy. I don't feel sorry for them at all.

The best part of this was the fact that the Giants were decimated by injuries on both sides of the ball and still was able to beat the "Dream Team." lol

Vick suggests injuries because of late hits

PHILADELPHIA — Michael Vick sat at the podium with his fractured hand wrapped in ice, the pain evident on his face and in his disappointment.

Vick is convinced that he keeps getting hit late by opponents, who don’t get penalized for it. He said that led to the broken right (non-throwing) hand he suffered Sunday in the Eagles’ 29-16 loss to the Giants.

Vick was hit midway through the third quarter by Giants defensive tackle Chris Canty after he completed a 23-yard pass to Jeremy Maclin. Vick appeared to raise his hand to protect his head as Canty closed in on him.

Vick left the game against Atlanta last week with a concussion.

“It was just an unfortunate situation, after such a great play, and I felt like I got hit late,” Vick said. “There was no flag, and I broke my hand … That’s pretty much been the story of the last three weeks. Not to blame the referees or say that it was their fault, but … I just think that more precautions should be taken when I’m inside the pocket.”

Vick finished out the series, which ended in Alex Henery’s 21-yard field goal that gave the Eagles a 16-14 lead after the Eagles had a first-and-goal from the 2-yard line. Vick tried sneaking the ball in twice, to no avail, before settling for the field goal.

Vick went to the locker room for X-rays after that. An Eagles spokesman said those X-rays were negative, so Vick came back out for the next series. But Vick said his hand was starting to swell up and he couldn’t bend it anymore.

Vick then had another set of X-rays, which showed the fracture. He left the game for good, replaced by Mike Kafka, who threw an interception on his first pass attempt.

Eagles coach Andy Reid said, “I can’t remember,” when asked if he knew the results of the X-rays when Vick first returned.

Vick said he didn’t know if he’ll be able to play next Sunday against the 49ers.

But he didn’t sound optimistic. It’s a tough blow for Vick, who signed a six-year, $100 million extension just before the season started, and the Eagles. He has not been able to complete two of the Eagles’ three games so far.

“You just realize that a quarterback with his skills, how important he is to our offense,” wide receiver DeSean Jackson said. “I think everyone is kind of worried about it. He’s a very dangerous quarterback, runner, passer, just the whole nine (yards), so we got to keep him healthy anyway possible.”

That’s why Vick was so upset after the game. He is convinced that the referees are not doing their part to protect him.

“Every time I throw the ball, I’m on the ground, getting hit in the head and I don’t know why,” Vick said. “I don’t get the 15-yard flags like everyone else does, but hey, I’m not going to complain about it. I’m just making everyone aware and hopefully somebody will take notice.”
