In the recently aired episodes, i think the writers were running out of ideas. like in "Here's Clifffffffffy!", Sam talks to Woody on the roof about Diane. and Norm says to the cue card man "People are all the same," like from the theme song.
on the other hand, it was a good ep. like, Cliff, his ma, and Norm in Hollywood, standing outside the NBC(!!!!) building, the guy trying to steal the camera(lol). but the Norm-line of "Everywhere you go, people are all the same!" was great too. Doug |

It was a good one, but those last couple years weren't as sharp. And you could tell the audience was being prompted or it was a laugh track, when they'd bust up over a dead line. And always with the same "huh huh huh!" by the same guy in the crowd.

The writing defintily deterated somewhere along the seasons, the ideas were no longer new or origanal, like how many times did they compete with garys old tyne tavern and i agree the writing wasn,t as sharp or intellegent as the earlier years, somewhere they got confused and the longer it was on the more it desingrated, but CHEERS is still my favorite show around

It was really funny all the time, its really hard to come up with new stuff especially on an 11 year sitcom.
