I like Boy Meets World because it's funny and somewhat realistic
(for a sitcom, that is). Also, it makes me happy when I watch it.
hehe. It's just one of those shows that puts a smile on my face.

To answer my own question. I guess I like it, because it always makes me laugh, yet there are still some really touching moments. Like the episode where Shawn finds out that Virna is not his real mom. Or when his dad dies. Or when Cory hurts his dad by calling him average. It seemed like the characters were like real people that we all know. They had the same problems. We all had friends like Shawn who dealt with really difficult family problems. And Cory's ordinaryness is what made him seem real. Even though it had the same quircks as all sitcoms, it was still a really good show.

Default Why I like it

I think it the range of issues covered, therefore making it realistic for a wider audience that I like most about BMW. Most tv shows geared for the teenage audience focus on a couple of characters that seem to have only one problem in the world, their romantic relationships/relationships with friends. Not all teenage audience members are in romantic relationships therefore they cannot relate to these shows. BMW deals with more than romanitc and peer relationship issues. There is the whole moving issue with Topanga, the family issues in Shawn's life, Cory's issues when his brother graduates from college and he never got to really know him. BMW also does this while maintaining a serious/comedic tone which makes the portrayals that much more realistic. The only other show that acheives this well is the Degrassi Jr. High/Degrassi High (Canadian based tv programs aired on PBS in the late 80's/early 90's).

The reasons why i like boy meets world is that it is funny. i know it was a kinds show n all,(well sorta, but u no wut i mean), but it was about sex, like all the joke wernt about sex, yeah they joked about it like 2 or 3 times but it was funny with out it,also. Like on Will & Grace(great show n all) but most of their jokes are based around sex, and Boy meets world wasn't at all like that. I agree, you could connect with the characters in how they feel or what they are going through. They had real teenage problems and they showed how to deal with them, and they also taught lessons, too. Like don't judge a person on what they look like. They also had great actors, which contributes alot to liking it. So, overall it was a funny show.

I guess people already said most of the reasons why I like BMW, but, I want to have my opinion here too...I guess it's really realistic, you can identify yourself with lots of situations...Me, for example...My family is a lot like the Matthews family, and because of that I identify mysefl a lot with Eric, since I'm the older child and I have to deal with the same situations Eric did...The only difference from my family to the Matthews one is that we are 2 older girls and a younger boy in the opposite of them, and we don't have the fourth child, altough my little brother is almost 11 years younger than me (like Eric and Morgan!!!).
See??? That's why I love BMW so much!!! Oh!!! I was almost forgetting: Matt Lawrence is part of the cast!!!
