I loved the set of The New Dating Game! It really fit the '80s quite well!
The 1986-87 TV season also marked the end for the acclaimed hit drama Hill Blues as well as Silver Spoons (after spending 1 season in 1st-run syndication after being cancelled by NBC earlier in 1986) and Webster, though Webster found new life in 1st-run syndication after 4 years w/ ABC. The 1986-87 TV season gave us: - Matlock w/ Andy Griffith - Amen w/ Sherman Hemsley of "The Jeffersons" and Clifton Davis of "That's My Mama!" - My Sister Sam w/ Pam Dawber of "Mork & Mindy" and the late Rebecca Schaffer - Sledge Hammer! w/ David Rasche - Head of the Class w/ Howard Hesseman, bka Johnny Fever on WKRP in Cincinnati - Designing Women w/ the late Dixie Carter, Delta Burke, Jean Smart and Annie Potts - ALF - L.A. Law Also The Flinstones came back as The Flintstone Kids on ABC, Hanna-Barbera also created their version of Pound Puppies for ABC, The Bugs Bunny Show became The Bugs Bunny and Tweety Show for the rest of lits life on ABC until its ultimate end in 2000 and also The Real Ghostbusters debuted on ABC. CBS debuted the highly-successful Pee-Wee's playhouse w/ Paul "Pee-Wee Herman" Reubens. |
