Conan's 18th Anniversary on Late Night TV - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Today marks Conan O'Brien's 18th Anniversary as a late night talk show host as he started his 16 year run on NBC's Late Night with Conan O'Brien then 7 months on the Tonight Show now currently on TBS hosting Conan. With the many obstacles he faced in his early years on TV, The Tonight Show drama with him being bought out by NBC and now with challenging ratings on TBS. He is a great talk show host and we who have followed him from beginning up to this point he has became a great performer. Good around talent plays guitar, drums, sings and does comedy well. I love his risque style of humor that is slapstick and silly. He can get away with that because it is so slapstick. We hope to see Conan around another 18 years.

I've been a fan of his since around maybe 1994. My sister watched from the very beginning but I didn't. Like I say around '94 so that was certainly early enough.

He's my favorite late night host.

I remember sneaking out of bed to "listen" to the first episode (the NBC affiliate in my hometown, before the digital transition, broadcast on 87.7 FM). I've been a fan ever since!

I'm glad he's on TBS, but I wouldn't be sad if he took over for Letterman (again) after he retired.
