In this episode of Star Trek TNG, the enterprise D encounters a ship with a dead crew that lost all sense of care for life when encountering a colapsing star. Very similar to the events in TOS the Naked Time. Riker read somewhere that this had happened before and looked into it. Picard walked up just as Riker discovered what he was looking for and Picard started to read about what happened.

(Picard) "Constitution class enterprise, James T Kirk commanding."

If any part of this episode, which was a great one, was worth watching, it was hearing James T Kirks name mentioned that made it worth watching.

"The Naked Now" is a very enjoyable episode but I actually perfer "The Naked Time". The mention of Kirk and the original Enterprise is one of the high lights episode.
