1. Jerry’s Apartment. 129 West 81st St., Apartment 5A. Most of the show took place here in Jerry’s apartment. This is the actual New York address of Jerry Seinfeld when he was a comedian in New York City.
2. Champagne Video. 213 West 79 Street. Rochelle, Rochelle, “The tale of a young girl’s strange erotic journey from Milan to Minsk”, was once a movie featured at this video store. Here Elaine falls in love with Vincent, a man she never met with her taste in movies. 3. Monks Diner. 2880 Broadway at 112th St. Famous diner George, Elaine, Jerry, and Kramer always went to eat. Is Paco working today? The real name of the diner is Toms Restaurant. 4. H&H Bagels. 2239 Broadway (between 79th St & 80th St). We never knew Kramer had a job. In the H&H Bagel episode we find out Kramer worked at H&H Bagels but was still on strike for 10 years. 5. Yankee Stadium. Bronx, NY. George’s loyal employer until he was traded to Tyler Chicken. 6. Barneys New York. Madison Avenue and 61st St. Elaine is convinced they use skinny mirrors. Kramer is stuck in the dressing room because he sells his suit to Bania. 7. Roosevelt Hospital. 10th Ave & 59th St. Kramer swears he sees a pigman here, George pleads with a couple to not use the name Seven for their newborn, and Kramer promises home runs by a Yankees player to a child. 8. Royale Pastry Shop. 72nd between Broadway and West End Ave. Jerry and Elaine cannot get an all important chocolate bobka as Jerry contemplates racial relations as he eats a black and white cookie. Jerry also ends a 13 year streak by throwing up in the bathroom. 9. Mr. Pitt’s Residence. 640 West End Avenue at 91st St. (entrance on 91st). Elaine was eventually fired by Mr. Pitt because she was suspected of trying to murder him after he wanted to put her in his will. 10. 1st Street and 1st Avenue. – Kramer is lost while talking to Jerry. “I’m at the corner of 1st and 1st, how can the same street intersect with itself?…I must be at the nexus of the universe.” http://www.nyc10best.com/culture-his...w-york-city/2/ |

This is a great list. But the really funny thing is that according to Jason Alexander, not one scene from the show was ever filmed in NYC! But hey I would love to go check out these sights anyway!

I was thinking the same thing. I suppose it would be nice to see the inspirations for the place but no filming went on there just joking around between Jerry and Larry and also probably some location scouting as the series went on, but anyway nice list.

I have been to Papaya King in NYC which was featured in an episode of Seinfeld-either that or Kramer mentioned it. I can't believe I don't remember but there is a Seinfeld quote on the wall of the restaurant from that episode. I know there is a tour you can take of movie sights and they show you the diner and so forth. Hopefully the next time I go to NYC I can do that.
