Default A little bit of magic

Darrin should have let Samantha do a little bit of magic in the house if she wanted/had to, he shouldnt have had a big temper sometimes, there was no harm in tiny magic yea it wasnt very good if mortals where around but just in the house when its only them.

Did Darrin want vapour lock again? looks like he did.

Darrin was abit of a jerk in that season 1 episode about the soup, when it was Samanthas imagination (A Kettle of fish, The pots right, The race to space at the table, If it was good enough for dad)

I think Darrin just wanted to live a mortal normal live. That said, I wouldnt have minded much if Sam chose to do magic. On IDOJ in contradiction, Major Nelson had no problem with Jeannie using her magic, unless it got him in trouble with Dr. Bellows.

I love the soup episode it was one of my favourites, Darrin does want to live a normal mortal life but come on now dont you see how bad Darrin was in that episode, the realtionship nearly ended.

He was just so mean thinking her soup ideas where magic and that she cant be creative/have an imagination.

He was just so mean/jerk in some episodes where she used tiny bits of magic that even mortals wouldnt notice or some little spells because sometimes she did want to do abit of magic if it was an emergency but he still got angry.

He should of understood that she was still a witch.
If he wants vapour lock again fine but I dont think they should get rid of it, because its his fault.

That's it. You, my friend, have officially just triggered yet another explosive soapbox character-support rant from me.

He was not being a jerk or being mean to her about her ideas. He did not think that she wasn't creative or didn't have any imagination. He just thought that she used magic instead of really thinking it through.

He was proud of her when she gave him those ideas. He was always happy and proud of her when she showed how clever she was and what she could do, and you can see that in this episode, in "Magic or Imagination", and in other episodes like those if you pay close attention. And he always apologized and made up for it in the end, did he not? He only got upset because he thought she did it the easy way, and not because she's a woman, contrary to sadly popular belief.

The only time he ever may have thought that way even a little bit was in the episode with that woman who had threatened to "get him" when they were younger. And she wasn't Samantha. Besides--be honest--hasn't everybody ever had these kinds of thoughts before in their lives, at least once? It's not sexist, it's a normal part of human thought. Like when some people say that men shouldn't be nurses.
It's only natural, folks.

Now the Dr.Pepper 10 commercials--I'd probably say that those are pretty sexist. But Bewitched? No!
