I remember Mrs. G saying something like this to Jo. "Get the
hell out of here or I'll beat you with my frying pan!" heh heh.
Those aren't the exact words, but it's similar to what she said.

Remember in "Rough Housing" when Mrs. G called Sue Ann an ass picking ugly ass slutty whore? JK But in "Double Standard Egotistical" Natalie say's to Blair "You're not very convincing as a hell's angel" I guess that kinda counts...

I loved "Working It Out." I only saw it once and unfortunately did not get it on tape, but it was really good. Does anyone recall which season this episode was in?

Anyway...to get back to the question:

There was the episode, I believe called "Lessons In Bailey Sitting," or something to that effect." Anyway, it had Blair keeping Bailey... Natalie was working on an article and really brain blocked and Blair was running out of things to do with Bailey. LOL and she had already done the planner book thing...

Blair: Bailey can you say one...Bailey can you say two...Bailey...oh no!

Jo: Well, too bad Bailey. That's a far as she can go...

AHEM...anyway, it then had Blair saying something to the effect of:

"You can help Aunt Nat with her story," Blair.

"If she's that good she can type the whole damn thing," Natalie.

Writing that brought back wonderful FOL memories and I think I'm going to go pull out some tapes and watch a few episodes tonight!

Oh yeah...I think there's another one but I can't recall it right now. Have no fear; it will come to me later tonight and as soon as it does I will come on here and type the entire scene for you guys!

Default cuss words

I don't necessarily think that "hell" in every instance was meant to be a cuss word (i.e., Natalie saying hell's angel) but I can understandMrsG telling Jo get the hell out, etc. When Jo called Blair a jackass, that wasn't necessarily a cuss word, because a jackass is another word for a fool (though that clip was in the opening '84/'85 credits, I noticed that later airings did
omit this--perhaps because the networks DID think it WAS "cussing"?? Silly. ). Jo did say to Blair, "don't be such a donkey", hint-hint, and Mrs. G did say "some people don't give a damn" about Jeff's poor reading skills. But references to sex aren't cussing, and it still seems very silly to point out where they used some very INNOCUOUS profanity that is all part of everyday language they were trying to portray. Even though I'M
pointing it out, so I'm being a hypocrite. But they never used the Seven Words You Can't Say On T.V.
