I loved the music of the 80's!!!
How could anyone not like: New Order: Blue Monday Depece Mode: People Are People, Just Can't Get Enough Kim Carnes: Bette Davis Eyes Human League: Fascination, Human Billy Idol: Can't have an 80's list without Billy Idol!, White Wedding Frankie Goes To Hollywood: Relax! Laura Branigan: Gloria Kajagoogoo: Too Shy Falco: Rock Me Amadeus OMD: If You Leave Nina: 99 Luftballoons Soft Cell: Tainted Love Peter Gabriel: Sledgehammer Go-Go's: Vacation, We Got The Beat A-ha: Take On Me Duran Duran: The ultimate 80's band! Bananarama: Cruel Summer (i always think about the karate kid when i hear this song) Spandau Ballet: True A Flock Of Seagulls: I Ran Simple Minds: anything by them is great Wham: Careless Whisper Tina Turner: What's Love Got To Do With It Guns N Roses: Sweet Child O' Mine, Welcome To The Jungle Thompson Twins: Hold Me Now Culture Club: took me a long time to realize that it wasn't a girl singing!!! INXS: love all their albums! Soundtracks: Dirty Dancing, Footloose, Flashdance, Top Gun, Ghostbusters, The Breakfast Club, Pretty In Pink Gosh, did I get carried away! Well, gag me with a spoon okay!!! (I never heard anyone talk like that, even though i grew up in the 80's!) The stuff I couldn't stand was the hair bands, especially all the pop metal near then end of the 80's. That was awful stuff. By the way, it's not "In The Name Of Love" by U2. It's called "Pride (In the name of love)". I don't include U2 in my list since they are way more than just an 80's band, as they've recently proven again

I just read through your lists and was immediately thrown back each time to different memories. High school, the beach, parties at my house, my first time.....well, we don't need to go into that, grad night at our local amusement park, graduation, college.....
I can't think of any songs but can name bands that I loved Journey (my first concert in 1982) Van Halen Rush Genesis Thompson Twins Berlin Duran Duran Chaka Khan Wham Prince (especially in college) Motley Crue (they kicked!) Huey Lewis and the News early Madonna Led Zeppelin (Stairway to Heaven- the classic high school slow dance song) music from Footloose or Flashdance much more but I can't think of them right now Whenever I hear a cool 80's tune and the mood is right (always in the car with the kids) I turn it up and bop around while driving. My son always yells "MOMMY! Turn it down!!!!!!!!!!!" |

I liked a lot of 80's songs, but sadly, I'm not much of an 80's person. I was born in the late 80's so I don't remember much of them. Anyways the point is, I don't know any of the names of the songs I like, lol
