George Takei May Appear on New 'Hawaii Five-0' (According to George Takei Himself)

George Takei has hinted that he may appear in an upcoming episode of Hawaii Five-0.

The Star Trek actor appeared in the original version of the cop drama in 1975, playing Nathaniel Blake in the episode 'Death's Name Is Sam'.

He told The Guardian: "I appeared in the original Hawaii Five-O, and there's even the possibility of me appearing again."

Takei added that he is a fan of the CBS revamp and praised series star Alex O'Loughlin, who plays Steve McGarrett.

"If that [guest role] happens, I'm really looking forward to meeting Alex," he said. "I only know him as McGarrett, so I can't wait to meet Alex O'Loughlin, the actor behind the character."

He continued: "I'll definitely tell him I'm a fan. Why would I not? I always enjoy it when someone comes up and says they're a fan of mine."

Other stars who have recently signed up to appear in the new season of Hawaii Five-0 include Meredith Monroe, Greg Grunberg, William Baldwin, Terry O'Quinn and Autumn Reeser.

The series returns to CBS on September 19.
