I have Mozilla Thunderbird for my emails which I like.
I want to add it to a friend's laptop computer. He uses Google gmail and he hates it! It keeps asking for his password then when he gives it, it's not accepted. He does have tech support but it usually means 2 hours on the phone! Do I just go to the Mozilla Thunderbird site and download it on his computer? |

You should be able to just download it and install it on his PC. I have Thunderbird as well, and I like it a lot. I believe the latest versions have made setting up the account much simpler than it was in the past. I would say he may not be typing his password in correctly if it's not taking. Could it be he has caps lock on and doesn't realize?

Thanks for the info, Kristen.
Yes, it's very possible he is doing something wrong. He is not that familiar with computers. |
