Default Do you think Fred and Betty hate eachother?

For some reason I always sensed animosity between Fred and Betty, did anyone else feel that?

If Wilma and Barney ever found themselves alone, like if they were widowed, I feel like they would still visit eachother and remain friends, BUT if Fred and Betty were alone do you think they would ever visit eachother? I don't think they would associate at all excpet maybe saying hi to eachother in passing maybe.

She may have resented Fred whenever Fred was insensitive of Wilma and also when he was a bad influence on Barney! Afterall, whenever Barney did something to irk Betty, it was always when Fred was the instigator.

Yeah Betty clearly acted disgusted with Fred, but Fred also acted like he got annoyed at Betty quite a bit too, it just seems there was tenstion between those 2.

TV

I don't think Betty hated Fred. I just think the producers wanted to give Betty a stronger personality than Trixie Norton, her counterpart on The Honeymooners. With all due respect to Joyce Randolph, Trixie was rather bland. Betty Rubble, though (esp. in the Bea Benadaret episodes) had spunk and a great sense of humor. I loved her laugh! And I think most guys will agree that Betty was a hottie, much more attractive than Wilma.

Never noticed any hatred toward them. I think they were all dear friends.

I never noticed any dislike between them accept when Fred picked on Barney and acted like a jerk when Wilma got a job as the Happy Housewife and was never home.

"Hatred" might be a little strong, BUT it just seems like there was some tension between Fred and Betty.

Cool

I don't think they hated each other. I think Betty got annoyed with Fred for always dragging Barney into his schemes. And Fred sometimes got frustrated with Betty for trying to keep Barney out of his schemes (although she never succeeded). But at the end of every episode all four main characters were god friends so to me that precludes the idea of any hatred between characters.
