What made Rory go back to Yale?

Im watching the episodes where Rory dropped out of Yale and I was wondering what or who made her go back? I mean when Lorelai told Rory about how she loves school and journalism and whatnot, it didnt sink in, yet when Jess said it, Rory finally got it.

So why do you think Rory went back to Yale?
Was it because Jess talked to her?
Was it because she realized that Jess wrote a book and he did something?
Was it because Emily was being too strict on Rory?

It just seems like people were trying to tell her to go back to Yale for months and then all of a sudden, poof, the light bulb went off and she went back. I would just like to know who or what convinced her to go back.

I agree with you 70s shoe watcher but that's not the only reason she also went back because she realised she wasn't doing much with her life she didn't want to keep working for the DAR all her life and plus I think she missed school and I feel deep down Rory still wanted to fulfill herdream of being a reporter/writer
