Default What if Gary Coleman grew during the series

We all know Gary Coleman didn't grow much during the whole 8 years so what if he was just a little shorter than Todd Bridges in say 1980. We all know Todd was at Conrad's eyebrow at the end of season 5 and Gary being a little shorter than Todd. Now this is where we think, would the show have been cancelled in 1984 or 1985

I think after the first couple of seasons Gary was so pouler that people didn't really care how big he grew, I doubt they would have cancaled the show because of that.
I thought the only big change in looks for Gary over the years was in 1985 after he had the Kidney Transplant.

AND EVEN THOUGH HE DIDNT GROW MUCH, YOU COULD TELL HE AGED, BY HOW HIS FACE CHANGED... YOU CAN SEE A BIG DIFFRRENCE FROM THE FIRST SEASON TO THE LAST

I know Gary would have been popular but he grew in height during the series don't you all think Sam would have appeared in 1982 or 1983 being that orignally Arnold was suppose to be 12 in 1982 and 13 in 1983. Me personally I don't think the show would have fallen off till 1990 if Janet Jackson stayed or Drummond wouldn't have married Maggie untill season 8

I don't think that Gary's height mattered that much to the show. When he did start to look older and refused to play the character so young, they got Danny Cooksey to be the cute little boy. I think people still enjoyed the show even though Arnold wasn't as young anymore.

I guess you all are right but just imagine the status symbol he really would have been. I think that if he did grow he would have been a happier person and would have changed his whole outlook on life and the show. If Todd and Dana could stand in front of you and talk about the show then why can't Gary.
