Default Boy Throwing Rocks Hit By Crossbow

http://www.aol.com/2011/08/31/boy-ro..._n_943257.html

Associated Press

SAN DIEGO -- San Diego police say a 16-year-old boy throwing rocks at a sport utility vehicle was struck by a crossbow arrow fired by a passenger.

Police say the shirtless boy and a friend were throwing rocks at a black Toyota RAV4 in the Linda Vista neighborhood Monday afternoon when a passenger fired a crossbow out the window.

The boy was shot in the right side and was taken to a hospital. The San Diego Union-Tribune says his injuries are not life-threatening.

His name wasn't released.

Nobody has been arrested.

It's a miracle that nobody died in this story. That kid needs counseling for sure. Things can happen when a driver is hit with something. Years ago around here, some punk threw a cinder block from an overpass, into cars on a highway. A poor woman got hit in the head and died.

While I don't condone violence as an answer to things unless there is absolutely no other alternative, it really is hard to summon much sympathy for the kid that threw rocks. Yes, someone could have easily died as a result of his behavior...as awful as it sounds, I bet he thinks twice before he does that again.

The teen that was throwing rocks needs to find a new hobby. I agree that luckily no one died.

Cool

The moral of this story is don't throw rocks at Robin Hood when he's driving! Seriously throwing rocks at cars is a stupid idea and this kid is lucky he didn't seriously injure someone or even worse kill someone.

Do you think the passenger was right to fire a crossbow at the boy? A crossbow
can also be deadly if hits you in the right spot.

Of course I know it was wrong. Why would you think otherwise?

that actually happened to my mom several years ago - everyone was OK, but some kid threw a BIG rock off a pedestrian highway overpass and it went right through her windshield as she was driving, it caused a huge 4-5 car accident. No one was ever caught because there was no nearby intersections so none of the witnesses could follow which way the kid ran.
