I doubt the show would have lasted more than a season. I think the show Max would have been the best for a series if it did happen, and it would have ran a few years longer than Gimme A Break.
The Center, I think, if it became a series, would have been called "Generations". Something to do with the two different generations of people sharing it, the youngers and the olders. I think all the spoken characters would have been on the series had it happened. The woman who said "Dumb Broads"...she reminds me of a pre-Sophia on Golden Girls, but stricter. I think she would have been on the cast, the two sisters, the Mexican older lady who spoke Spanish, and Papa Jack, of course! For the kids, I think the girl who sang "Born to Be Dead", that guy who smoked/bad boy type, and Dianna and the guy who chased after her, I think they would have all been on the cast. But the way it looked, it would have only lasted a season. How long do you think it would take for the youth center to be re-built? And even if they decided to stay at the same center with the old folks, would it have worked? It would bore people after a few episodes. Unless they showed different locations in Glenlawn, like their homes at times. At least Ray/that woman's home. The theme would have been synthesized because it would be done by the same people who did GAB. |
