Matthew Fox Arrested for Assaulting Woman in Cleveland

Matthew Fox was arrested early Monday morning, Aug. 29, after allegedly punching a woman in the chest and stomach.

According to a police report obtained by The Hollywood Reporter, the actor is accused of attempted to hitch a ride to his hotel aboard a private party bus. The driver, a 29-year-old female, blocked the entrance and informed Fox that he could not board, as the bus had been rented out.

Fox then allegedly punched the driver in the chest and stomach, before receiving a blow to the mouth in return. The woman suspected she may have broken her hand and would be seeking medical attention if needed.

Fox has since been released to a friend and brought back to his hotel. A rep for the "Lost" actor was not immediately available for comment on the situation, which was first reported by TMZ.

Fox is currently filming World War Z with Brad Pitt, as well as I, Alex Cross.
Both films are set for a 2012 release.

New Matthew Fox Arrest Details Emerge

Heather Bormann, the 29-year-old bus driver who has accused Matthew Fox of assaulting her early Sunday morning, is speaking out about the alleged attack.

The Cleveland resident, a driver for charter bus company Ohio Connection has said Fox, who is in town shooting the film I, Alex Cross, physically assaulted her after being denied entry to the bus she was driving, which was rented out for a private party.

He was arrested and released shortly after.

“He smelled like a liquor cabinet, like a bar,” Bormann told Cleveland.com of the actor, who attempted to board the bus at about 1:30 am Sunday morning.

“I told him, ‘Sorry, buddy, this is a private party. You get off my vehicle.’ I told him three times.”

But, then she says Fox began “swinging on her,” and she then retaliated by punching the actor in the mouth. Bormann says she has bruises on her arms, thighs, right leg and chest from the incident and she went to local Fairview Hospital to have her left hand which is bruised and swollen, bandaged.

Bormann says she didn’t recognize the "Lost" star until after he was taken into custody.

Neither Fox nor representatives for I, Alex Cross have commented on the situation.

A bus driver filed assault charges Tuesday against Matthew Fox for an incident in which he allegedly hit her while attempting to board her hired coach in Cleveland.

The city's prosecutors office told CNN it was reviewing Heather Bormann's complaint. The office also took pictures of Bormann's bruised legs and arms, which she claims were the result of the actor's drunken rampage.

Fox was in Cleveland shooting the film I, Alex Cross.

Matthew Fox is firing back against the bus driver who filed a lawsuit against him earlier this year.

The "Lost" star is countersuing the driver of a chartered party bus, the Associated Press reports. Bus driver Heather Bormann, an employee of Ohio Connection, claimed that Fox physically assaulted her.

In the original lawsuit, Bormann says the actor punched her in the breast, groin, arm and legs after he attempted to get on the bus on Aug. 28.

At the time, Fox was in Cleveland to film a movie.

Fox's counterclaim was filed on Nov. 3.
