Has anyone ever noticed that in season 6 "Dial M for Martin" the irony at the end of the show???
This is the episode where Frasier & Martin fight so often that Martin moves in with Niles. Daphne decides that if Martin can get up and down Niles' stairs, that he's well enough not to need a physical theropist and Daphne starts to look for a new job. During this episode, it appears that Niles' subconsious is trying to injur Martin so Daphne will stay while Frasier is trying to enjoy one night of romance in his "bachelor" apartment. Martin falls next to the elevator by Frasier's apartment while Frasier is waiting for his beautiful date. That's when the elevator opens and his date witnesses Frasier telling Martin (who is flat on his back) that he wants him out of here even if he needs to crawl out of here like a frog-turtle. She replies, "What kind of a heartless bastard are you?" BUT Rebecca allows the elevator doors to close and she goes back down without helping Martin herself. She left him laying there on his back as well. I just found that strange. |

Oh I know! I love that episode, but I never made that connection. I guess the point of that scene was to make Frasier feel bad, but you're right. Renee never did bother helping Martin up either. He didn't deserve her anyway! Thats a great episode and I love the Niles and Daphne scenes in it! One of my favorites is when Niles notices Daphne standing in Frasier's living room and she bursts into tears and says "Look at us, all together again" and Niles tries to comfort her. I love that scene!
