Two and a Half Men- After about two a half seasons, appropriately enough. The show was funny enough to watch on a semi regularl basis but the womanizing sctick got tiresome IMO.
Everybody Loves Raymond-After two to three seasons. The characters just gradually grated on me as time went on, they were so bitter. Home Improvemen-Early in season 2, the Tool Time bits were amusing but got old quock. The Wilson gimmick was stupid, annoying and limting. Family Matters-After about four seasons, no particular reason that I can recall. However, I did watch the final season. |

The Simpsons. After the Itchy and Scratchyland episode in 1994 I began to question my decision to call this show appointment TV. In 1997 I quit watching the show completely. (Does FOX know that it is STILL on?)

I got tired of "Dallas" about 5 1/2 in (on its DVD releases), and I don't know why; I guess I just got bored with it.

The Office - I stopped watching when Steve Carell left, but even before that I was getting tired of it and wouldn't go out of my way to watch it, like I did those first couple of years.

Ditto on Everybody Loves Raymond.
Survivor, American Idol, and just about every reality show out there except for The First 48 and other true crime shows. (At least Kate Plus 8 got cancelled). |

Two and a Half Men
How I Met Your Mother Everybody Loves Raymond Friends George Lopez CSI Law & Order NCIS The Simpsons The Nanny I could go on, but you get the point.. It's refreshing when a network doesn't air any of the aforementioned shows. |

This is similar to the thread I started about what shows would you put on the shelf. Thats what Im saying. I think the reason why people are sick of these shows is not really that the show got sickening or wasnt funny as time went on although for some that could be a reason and you wouldnt be wrong.
I think the reason, especially the "newer shows", I guess you can call it, like "Everybody Loves Raymond", "Home Improvement", CSI, NCIS, etc. are waning on people and people are sick of them is because they are always on. Marathons all the time doesnt help. Btw, if you look at the schedules for syndication on in the New York area, someone mentioned that either "How I Met Your Mother" or "Big Bang Theory" will be on 24 times a week!!! I mean thats way too much. |

Degrassi: TNG - I was a big fan of original Jr. High/High series and ended up getting hooked on the TNG series but by season five or six it seemed many of the characters had become interchangeable and the writing was just getting worse and worse.
Family Guy - The pop culture reference jokes are really tired and the show as whole has just been boring me. |

I'd also add reality shows like Jersey Shore and The Real Housewives to the list. Reality tv as a whole has probably done more damage to tv than any other genre. Why produce compelling, entertaining tv when you can cheaply produce shows about repossessions, exterminators and out of control kids? It's a shame that as technology evolves with HD, 3D etc. the overall quality of programming has deteriorated.
