'30 Rock' May Add Tracy Morgan's Controversy Into A Plotline

Tina Fey has suggested that 30 Rock could use a storyline based on the controversy surrounding cast member Tracy Morgan.

Morgan was the subject of outrage from the public when it emerged that he had made homophobic comments during a gig.

Fey, who described the remarks as "disturbing" at the time, has now admitted that she hopes the controversy will not affect 30 Rock.

"We don't go back on the air until January," she told Deadline. "I'm hoping that Tracy will have, and the world will have, forgotten about that by then.

"He, from the first, has gone around very sincerely and done his best to try to make up for the foolishness."

However, Fey hinted that the controversy could inspire a future storyline, saying: "It's the kind of story that even if it happened to someone else, we would probably turn it into a Tracy story. So we may use it."
