Default I feel terrible for my parents.....

I've felt horrible all day. Both my parents called me crying... Dad left their beloved dog in the car too long today which unfortunately killed her. They couldn't stand to be apart from that little thing, hence taking her everywhere. I've never in my life heard my dad cry, he was so heart broken, he felt so bad. I can't stand it when people I love hurt

Sad

My sympathies to your parents on their loss. Losing a beloved pet is like losing a family member.

My sympathies as well. I've lost a pet so I know how this feels.

I feel bad that they lost a pet they loved, but there is no excuse to leave a dog in a car for 2 hours, especially in the summer. It is heartbreaking thinking of that poor dog.

I know, I told them to never leave the dog in a hot car in the summer but they never listen to me

Don't in any way blame yourself. Parents rarely listen to the advice of their children - even when these same children become adults. Why? Because for decades they have become used to telling YOU the Correct way things should and MUST be done - NOT the other way around. There were many, many times when I clearly gave my mother advice - good, solid strong advice - which she simply refused to take - and then things didn't turn out the way she expected them to. I stopped giving my parents unsolicited advice years ago, because unless they actually ask you for advice, they ignore it.

Dork. I have nothing against you, and i don't what to come across as mean, what happened is very tragic. The truth is your parents should be charged with cruelty to animals..There's no excuse for that to happen.

I don't know about charged with cruelty to animals because they did not do it on purpose and if they did do it on purpose, they wouldn't have been crying and feeling horrible about this, my parents did not know that leaving the dog in a hot car will kill her (THEY SHOULD HAVE KNOWN after I told them countless times to never leave the dog in a hot car but they never listen to me), it was a accident and I hope they learned their lesson but unfortanely, I am not holding my breath but they said they are not getting another dog after this, I will see it when I believe it and once I told them last year to always keep the dog on a leash and they did not listen to me and my dog was hit by a car, I seriously want to strangle my parents for not listening to me, I just am going to give up on telling my parents what to do for the dogs' safety because it is useless since 2 dogs was killed due to their careless actions and I just really hope they do not get another dog because I know the dog will be killed due to their careless actions and it is just really frustrating to me! If they get another dog and the dog dies due to their careless actions again, I will be reporting them to the police for animal cruelty and I am sure my parents will disown me for reporting them but I have no choice but to do the right thing

So sorry to hear that Dork. One of lifes greatest pains is to lose a beloved pet. God be with you and your family right now. I know it hurts. Hang in there!
