unfortunately with the new "fast release schedule" that Firefox has adopted, it has left most add-ons, plug-ins and extensions twisting in the wind trying to keep things compatible

the best thing to do is to uninstall or disable all of your add-ons, update all of your plugins (especially Java and Flash) then reinstall only the most necessary plugins.

It's getting worse, it freezes up at every chance it can. What can I do? It's getting frustrating. I can't even click on something without it freezing up

can you do a virus scan and see if anything comes up, then run Superantispyware or MalwareBytes antispyware

uninstall Firefox completely, clean out your temp files and install Firefox 3.6.21

if nothing else, you could post a HijackThis! log for me to look at

Okay I cleared everything: cookies, cache, etc... and it seemed to have done the trick, no freezing up so far

do you think you could post a HijackThis log just to make sure there's nothing suspicious in there?

download and install HijackThis!

run the program and click on "Do a system scan and save a log file"

this will run the scan and open Notepad with a full log file, select the entire text, copy and paste the results here (you can then close the notepad file without saving)

don't "fix" anything in HijackThis just close it (we just want to see whats in there
