Confused Has Christopher Knight Tarnished The Brady Bunch Name?

In his first professional wrestling match, in 1994, Danny Bonaduce was paired with Brady Bunch alum Christopher Knight. But that’s hardly the only embarrassing thing Knight has done since his days as Peter Brady. For a while there, he was on the right track, pursuing a successful career in computers throughout the late ’80s and ’90s. Eventually, though, Knight was lured back to TV in 2005, when he shared a house with other faded stars on VH1′s The Surreal Life. On the show, he allowed himself to be courted by America’s Next Top Model winner Adrianne Curry; they got married and filmed three seasons of their own terrible VH1 reality show, My Fair Brady, before separating earlier this year.

Cool

I think most Brady fans are sophisticated enough to separate the characters from the actors who played them. And besides Chris isn't the only Brady whose courted controversy. Robert Reed was posthumously outed from the closet. Eve Plumb and Maureen McCormick have had a long running public feud. Barry Williams had a very messy and very public split with his significant other. I think all of these folks have to some extent tarnished their own names by their actions but the Brady name and characters are something completely separate from the actors who played them. So no the Brady name has not been tarnished.

He didn't catch crabs from a former NYC mayor like Florence Henderson did, so he's okay.

Really? This was even a thread??

Honestly, compared to Bonaduce and the Diff'rent Strokes kids, Chris and the others' reps are pretty clean.

But as far as Chris Knight, going on a reality show, and exploiting his relationship and marriage and life with his wife, well, one has to question where does the reality stop.

Yes I agree Knight's reality tv stint did more to tarnish The Brady Bunch, than any of these other things.

And he of course hated the show he worked on, but that's a somewhat different issue.

He tarnished his name, not The Brady Bunch.Anyone who was on a good classic tv show who then later on appears on a 'reality' junk show makes themselves look bad,not the classic show.

Actually, Knight is probably the most successful and wealthiest of the kids on the show. Except for Brady Bunch stuff, he more or less stopped show business and became a businessman of some sort. Whatever he is doing he has been very successful and is a millionaire.
