Question Anyone here own a gun??

I own a gun. Well actually it's the families gun. With the path that this Country is currently going down, I wouldn't go without one. Things are bad now, and will likely only be getting worse. Many people believe that the New World Order is approaching, myself included. Brushing this off, and saying this will never happen is incredibly naive. They said the same thing about 9/11, even as the signs pointed to it. Hell, I heard about what would happen on 9/11 two years before it even happened, and thought that the guy who was saying it was crazy. I believed it was hogwash. Boy was I ever wrong, and in a big way. Wish it would have been hogwash. From the signs, It's obvious that incredibly tough times are coming. Call it what you will, that's not important. If these days do come, as I believe they will, a person without the means of protecting themselves will pretty much be screwed. Atleast those with guns will have a fighting chance.

The guns I have are in my family's home up in Upstate NY.

My favorite is the Remington 12 Gauge.

On my keychain I have the shell of my first deer kill.

My husband and I both own handguns. I am not quite comfortable with mine yet but it is comforting to know that I have it around. Hopefully I will never have to use it!

Amen Marlene. Fortunately we have never had to use it, and like you said, hopefully we won't ever have to. I'm not a violent man, so I'd rather live in a world where guns weren't necessary. Sadly though, that has never been the case, nor will it ever be.

never owned a gun, never fired a gun, honestly have never even held a real gun - i am kinda clumsy and have really bad luck with stuff like that, so I would prefer to avoid shooting myself if at all possible.

...that said, everyone else at my workplace has a concealed carry license and actually carries a gun at all times. (one of the guys is also a gun instructor and holds the classes to get your license).

I knew you had guns bandito. It was actually your post on the your last purchase thread, that inspired this thread. Thanks for the idea.

My husband owns two hand guns, a shot gun & a rifle. He used to deer hunt & Dove hunt but he hasn't done that in several years. I've fired the shot gun & one of the hand guns but it's been a long time ago. We locked them all up after our son was born.
