He wrote Debbie Harry's 1986 hit, "French Kissin' in the USA", before he moved on from the music scene to the TV scene. I never knew that until recently - plus, it's a song I've always enjoyed very much.

Technically, it wasn't a Blondie song - Debbie Harry sang it on one of her solo albums.
