Default What you miss about the Old TNN?

I pose this question because on youtube and on this board, I have read that people miss the old TNN. Now living in Connecticut, I wasnt a big country music fan, so I didnt watch it except for Dallas, WWE Wrestling and ECW on TNN. I do remember Extreme Championship Wrestling on TNN, Roller Jam etc.
Then when ECW left TNN, the WWF, now WWE, came on TNN. Then they had there whole relaunch, with them becoming the National Network. They would show Newhart, Taxi, The Waltons and then after much controversary with Spike Lee, they became Spike TV.

Now I ask what shows/promos, etc. do you miss from the old TNN? What shows would you want to see on there again?

One other show that I used to watch occasionally on the old TNN was Crook and Chase. I believe it replaced Nashville Now when that show left the air. Crook and Chase was a talk/variety show hosted by Lorianne Crook and Charlie Chase. Nashville Now was a similar type of program hosted by Ralph Emery.

I miss "TV's Bloopers and Practical Jokes," and its later version "Super Bloopers and New Practical Jokes." Dick and Ed really made those shows worthwhile.

I used to watch WWF Raw Is War and Star Trek: TNG, DS9, and Voyager. I also loved the afternoon block of Diff'rent Strokes and Three's Company. I miss the old days, lol.

Fandango, Crook & Chase, Ralph Emery and later, Matt Houston reruns. Stuff I could watch with my grandparents and not be embarrassed.

Didn't they also air Mama's Family?

I think they did air Mamas Family. Also, TNN was big on Motor sports. Im not a fan of racing or Nascar but I know TNN used to show racing a lot.

MadTV reruns. What I don't miss is that stupid black bar that ruined the aspect ratio of the programs.

Reruns of the Statler Brothers and Barbara Mandrell and the Mandrell Sisters that brought back a lot of memories. Also some tv movies like the Dallas reunion movies.

My grandparents were a big fan of the Statler Brother shows, especially the Christmas ones. I would watch it on Saturday nights with them. We also liked Yesteryear, I think that's what it's called, where they would sing songs from a certain year and you had to guess it.
