Huey Littleton declares Ellender case closed?

Just found this on the UM wiki, I wonder if Huey actually submitted this information. If so, I would guess his investigation into the deaths of his daughter and son-in-law is likely over.

"Littleton and his investigators solved this case and did all they could to get justice by following the laws of Louisiana. The case was solved by Littleton but unresolved under the criminal laws of Louisiana by the Attorney General's office. (All of this information added to date 6/3/11, was made by Private Investigator, Huey T. Littleton, father of Pamela Ellender, himself.)"

Kind of a bitter ending. Let's see...

- Christopher Prudhomme - dead by suicide. Even though he admitted he killed both Eric and Pam Ellender, Littleton believes the confession was bogus and Prudhomme didn't kill anyone.

- Robert Adkins - allegedly killed Pam. Pleaded guilty to two counts of manslaughter. Received a 20 year sentence that was suspended due to time he already served for stealing the Ellenders' truck. Despite the guilty plea, he refused to reveal any information about the crime and claims innocence apparently. Released on probation but may be back in prison due to a DUI.

- Phillip LeDeoux - allegedly killed Eric. Incarcerated. Not sure what he was convicted of or how much time he got.

- Kim Manual - indicted as an accessory but charges ultimately dropped and never re-filed.

In addition, Littleton has testimony from two unnamed individuals that implicated Adkins and LeDeoux above and he wanted to see these informants charged as accessories but apparently this was never done.

I actually found Huey online recently and thought about contacting him for an update but haven't done so yet because I feel it might be inappropriate to bother him.

Yeah, I did some Googling on the case awhile back and there is actually a lot of info about Huey and his various businesses online.

Obviously, it's your call whether or not to contact him. When it comes to family members, I wouldn't recommend contact unless they request it or are otherwise open to discussing the case. There have been some family members who have posted here (Lisa Marie Kimmel's mom comes to mind) who will openly discuss the case and don't seem to mind answering questions or engaging in discussions. However, I don't think this mentality is true for everyone. Also, I have to occasionally remind myself how old UM actually is. The fact that we can watch these segments whenever we like at our leisure kind of makes them seem "timeless" and relevant to the present. However, some of these cases are over 20 years old, and the people involved may have moved on and might not wish to revisit and reopen old wounds.
