Misfits Announce 'Devils Rain' Album Details
by Gregory Burkart August 15, 2011 Iconic horror-punks the Misfits have just announced the forthcoming arrival of their next record, 'The Devil's Rain'. Based as always on the band's favorite horror, sci-fi and comic book themes, 'The Devil's Rain' is produced by Ed Stasium, who not only produced the band's 1999 album 'Famous Monsters', but who also worked with the Ramones on the albums 'Road to Ruin' and 'Too Tough to Die'. As you can see in the spectacular artwork (created by Arthur Suydam) the band's skeletal mascot "The Fiend" has returned in epic form. The gatefold-style CD package will also contain promo photos of the band taken by legendary music photographer Mick Rock, whose subjects have included David Bowie, Iggy Pop, Queen, Debbie Harry, and the Ramones. The official release date has not been announced, but the album is expected to arrive this October, so keep checking here for more details. In the meantime, here's the final track list: The Devil's Rain Vivid Red Land Of The Dead (album version) The Black Hole Twilight of the Dead (album version) Curse of the Mummy's Hand Cold In Hell Unexplained Dark Shadows Father Jack The Ripper Monkey's Paw Where Do They Go?
