Exclamation Corey Feldman: "The Biggest Problem in Hollywood is Pedophilia"

Corey Feldman: Pedophilia Is Hollywood's Biggest Problem (VIDEO)
8/12/11

Former child-star Corey Feldman is making some shocking claims in a new interview with ABC's Nightline.

The 40-year-old actor, who starred in hit films in the 1980s like The Goonies and Stand By Me, told Nightline that the biggest threat to children in show business is something that just isn't talked about -- pedophilia.

"I can tell you that the number one problem in Hollywood was, and is, and always will be pedophilia. That's the biggest problem for children in this industry... it's all done under the radar. It's the big secret," he said.

Feldman said he was surrounded by pedophiles when he was 14-years-old and didn't realize until he was older just what these "vultures" were and what they wanted.

Feldman says it was these people who abused both him and close friend and troubled teen actor Corey Haim, who died last year at the age of 38.

"There is one person to blame in the death of Corey Haim, and that person happens to be a Hollywood mogul -- and that person needs to be exposed but unfortunately I can't be the one to do it," he said.

Both Feldman and Haim have talked about their abuse before, even confronting one another about it on their 2008 reality series "Two Coreys" revealing that they were both being molested by different people at the same time.

Feldman told Nightline, "There are so many people in this industry who have gotten away with it for so long that they feel they're above the law. And that's got to change, that's got to stop."

There still seems to be a rift between Feldman and Haim's family.

When Haim died in 2010, Feldman was not invited to the funeral and when Nightline reached out to Haim's mother for comment, she told them she wasn't going to respond to anything Feldman had to say, and wishes he would only talk about himself.

Thanks for posting this James. I actually came across this story about a week or two ago, and thought about posting it. Sad thing is, I'm not even surprised by any of this. In an industry where people praise, and celebrate dirty pedophiles like Roman Polansky, and that have no problem showing an 11 year old Brooke Shields getting out of a bath tub naked, what do you expect? They put sexual subliminal messages in kids movies such as Aladdin, The Lion King, and The Hunchback of Notre Dame among others. Hollywood is full of despicable things, like the Illuminati, which is a group of celebrities who sold their souls to satan, in exchange for money and fame. Like I said on Facebook last night, I wouldn't put anything past them. I wouldn't be surprised if in a couple years, they start making films where people have sex with animals. The very thought of that was unheard of just ten or so years ago, but I think few people would be surprised if it happened these days. Infact, I'm betting that it will, and sadly, when it does, many people will go see it, because depravity is Hollywood's best sellers, and sadly, many would go see such a film. Hollywood is basically a Foreign Country to me. Nothing they do makes any sense to me anymore. That's a big part of the reason why it's been well over a year since I even watched a movie.

Roman Polanski isn't a pedophile. He's anything but a pedophile. A pedophile is someone who is fascinated by little boys and little girls. When his doctors analyzed him, they didn't consider him a pedophile. It doesn't excuse him of what he's done, don't get me wrong, but by no stretch of the imagination is he a pedophile.

You want an example of a real celebrity pedophile? Try Gary Glitter.

Well, regardless of whether or not he's a pedophile, like you said, he did do a sick thing, and as far as I know, he has never apologized for it. I apologize myself If I'm wrong, and if I am wrong, please let me know. I still don't think a person should be praised so much after doing such a sick act. Just my opinion, and I respect yours.

I think everyone missed the point here, Feldman, (who has a huge ego and likes to get headlines) didn't name information that he "clamis" to know of a big hollywood producer/whatever who currently still preys on child actors and Feldman won't name him??? Why Corey because you might get into some slander problems? If he has real knowledge of someone, it is DISGUSTING that he would let this person continue to abuse children. Knowing about the crime is one step away from protecting them or even doing the crime yourself!

Haim's life was a complete mess, much of the trouble stemming from drug abuse. It's very sad, but to blame any one person for his death seems to be out of line. To my knowledge, Haim was "of age" before any of that took place* and let's face it, we can't lay 100% of blame on others. Hollywood successes are blitzed with fame and wealth, and unfortunately some just can't handle it -- their egos (not to mention parents' involvement) are such that some can't move on and lead productive lives out of the spotlight.

*Edit -- wasn't he 18 when involved with "mogul" Julia Phillips?

Corey Feldman is a sad joke of a human being. He's an opportunistic little brat who has never taken any accountability for the sorry state of his own life. I'm sure that Hollywood has more than it's share of creeps, but Feldman's "statement" is more about self promotion than anything else.

BTW, considering Feldman had a very complicated relationship with Michael Jackson, his statement seems even more self serving. I wonder if this is a passive aggressive way to get "go away" cash from the Jackson estate?

Very well said, I have been in the same room with Corey a few times, (never spoke to him) but from his interviews with Stern, the pathetic reality show, that joke of a marriage, I believe he is now divorced, because neither one of them got the fame they were looking for after the show failed and her "Playboy" pictorial. When you are near Corey, he comes off as a pathetic joke, the wardrobe, attitude, etc.
