Default Which proposal did you like better?

Of the two proposals on the show, which one did you like better? Did you like Donny's proposal to Daphne or Niles? I have been reading around and it seems like people seem to prefer Donny's over Niles'. They said it creeped them out that Niles was naming off Daphne's body parts as he proposed. I thought it was sweet because he was saying that he loved every inch of her body, loved everything about her and wanted to marry her. Donny's was sweet, yes but I was too busy looking at Niles heartbroken than to pay much attention to what Donny said. Let me know how you feel. Please vote!

I loved Niles' proposal. Donny's was kind of sweet, but it was too heartbreaking for Niles...And how Niles still did the proposal even though Daphne was so sick was really sweet. And that Daphne said yes without hesitating always makes me melt! *sigh* And also, something people might not have noticed is that Frasier was present for both of Daphne's proposals, even though he was trying to stay out of sight for Niles'! "The Proposal" is one of my favorite episodes!

I hate to admit it, but I have to give Donny his props. Donny's was much better talking about how her father used to say that the kind of man to marry Daphne would have to be the kindo of guy to catch the stars from the heavens for her and that he (Donny) only caught this one so far (her diamond engagement ring) but would spend the rest of his life trying to get the others for her if she's have him.

I agree Donny's proposal was very sweet, but seeing Niles so heartbroken kind of ruined the moment for me. Seeing his face and the tears in his eyes made me want to comfort him more than congratulating Donny and Daphne's engagement.

: And I hadn't noticed that about Frasier being there. The part at the end when he does that flying tackle thing has to be one of Kelsey's best physical moments on the show! Donny's proposal was sweet, but you can't NOT feel for Niles in that moment. It's almost like Donny's proposal was overshadowed. And the way Niles actually ended up doing it, just taking out the ring and asking her, was prob. exactly what Daphne wanted in the first place!

Well of course Niles' was the best, but I did like when Donny was telling Daphne that he'd give her the stars. But definitely Niles was the better one. So romantic!

This is kind of a hard question because if you just take the proposals side by side, then I liked Donny's words better. But if you add all the emotions to it, as you guys said, feeling so sad for Niles, not liking Donny and Daphne together, and knowing who is actually the right person for Daphne, then Niles' is the best by far. We know he is who she wanted to marry and we know that he had something else planned but was sidelined by her having the flu. Had he had a chance to give her the proposal he planned, we might have thought it was way better than Donny's, but I think what he came up with on the spot, speaking from his heart, really showed the depth of his love for her and was the sweetest and definitely the sincerest. I think the idea was the same as was why she decided to forego the big wedding and elope with Niles-- because the bells and whistles didn't really matter in the end. All they really wanted and needed was each other. That beats the heck out of some pretty words any day.

Well said! I just loved when Niles was asking Daphne to marry him and mentioning each part of her that he felt was beautiful. Definitely the most romantic words to a proposal I've ever heard.
