Default Season 6

Has there been any word on the release date of season 6??? I wish Shout Factory would release this season and the other seasons quickly as possible, I'm dying to get my hands on the rest of the seasons..

I actually emailed shout the other day and they told me that they hope to release it but as of now, Sony still has the rights to release it, not them (which is weird) so thats why they can't release it. I tried to find the email for Sony but can't find it. I wish we could bug Sony to death so they would consider giving the rights to shout!

You know, i've been watching season 6 tapes i dug up from when FOL was in Nick at Nite and omg is this quickly becoming my favorite season!!! I hope it's released sooon!!!!

I started watching this show when I was in 8th grade when it was on NAN and it was about my freshman or sophomore year that i was watching seasons 6-9 for the first times, i didn't really like it then because i dont think i quite got it... now that i'm out of college and can totally understand everything in this season i am in love! The girls are hilarious and i love all of the off-set shows too, even though mrs. g isn't present AS much and the 80s are REALLY hitting this season, i still think this is quickly becoming one of my favorite seasons!!! I cannot wait for the release!!!!

I totally agree with you, Sony isn't making any money by not releasing any new season of FOL. I mean what's the point with keeping the series if your not going to do anything with it. People want the rest of this show to come to stores so what is Sony gaining, there just making people upset and there going to loose customers because of this. It makes no sense for them to keep the series, they need to give it to shout and they could sell it for a profit and make some money which they aren't doing by keeping it and not releasing new seasons.

Shout Factory owns the rights to FOL seasons 4 and 5, so why don't they own the rights to season 6? Shout Factory should have bought all the rest of the seasons from Sony. The fans are getting screwed thanks to Shout and Shout is getting screwed as well because Sony won't or doesn't want to sell the rest of the seasons to Shout. WTH is going on???

Someone on the Shout board made custom cover art for all the seasons:

I only wish it were real.

I've got a terrific idea. If they don't release the shows anytime soon on DVD, maybe they could release Facts of Life and Diff'rent Strokes on Netflix.

I just bought the rest of the series on ioffer.com. Best decision ever since sony is so dumb/slow as far as releasing the rest of the seasons. The dvd's i bought are good quality and I am so looking forward to watching them!! If anyone is interested in doing that let me know and I will give you info!!

I see there is more than one party offering DVDs. Which one did you get your DVDs from? I assume you recommend that one.

I also think they should be on Netflix.
