If a strange man had hit Tracey Thurman until she bled, or had run out of nowhere and broken her windshield, or had harassed her with threatening phone calls, police would have stopped him. But because that man was her husband, they turned their heads. Until Tracey Thurman fought back. Her weapon: the brute will to take her case to federal court and prove that violent acts between domestic partners are not crimes of passion. They are simply crimes. THURMAN'S STORY? Published on June 22, 1994, Article 2 of 16 found. It won't be long before ``The O. J. Simpson Story'' appears on the living-room screens. But does anyone remember ``The Tracey Thurman Story''? People in Connecticut remember. And so should every police department in the country. The case represented one of the law enforcers' darkest nightmares, but it also enlightened them to a problem they had long ignored. Tracey Thurman Motuzick, whose near-fatal case of spousal abuse helped strengthen the country's domestic violence laws, has applied for a restraining order to keep her former husband away from her when his probation ends April 11. Charles ``Buck'' Thurman was released from jail in 1991 after serving seven years for nearly killing Motuzick June 10, 1983. He was sentenced in 1984 to a 20-year term, suspended after 14 years. Tracy Thurman was a character the Nancy played in a movie. Yes, this is the FOL board but people talk about the actors themselves here from time to time too, and other things they might be doing.
I don't see anything wrong with that. Basically everyone sticks to FOL topics here, but I don't mind reading about what the actors are up to in their lives after FOL too.

OK yes, it was interesting, but TJ, I have a suggestion. How about you start an Nancy McKeon board? It would keep board sizes down a bit.

HAHAHA! Funny, CC Anyway, I agree with Eva. It's nice to know about the actresses. People come on here and talk about Lisa's chats, me being one of them, and no one jumps on anybody for that. FOL was made up by the actresses who played them. We must use our imagination to know what the characters of FOL are up to now days, but we can keep up with the actresses who portrayed them. (Sorry, I know, I confused myself with that as well) As for a Nancy board, TJ has already explained if he makes a board for one actress he will have to make one for all of them. He was totally cool to make a TD board for us, let's not push our luck Besides, Nancy was on FOL so we can talk about her on just like we talk about, Lisa, Mindy, Kim, Charlotte, Cloris, George, Mackenzie, Sherrie, George, Geri, or whoever! It's an FOL board. If they were on FOL then we're gonna talk about them! That's what us fans do, we just can't help ourselves Thanks for post that info NMK fan! ...I'm gonna go to my hole for now, cause well, it seems to be safer there than here at the present time... Oh yeah, all that above was just my opinion... ks |

I think they can post this info because:
Tracy Thurman was played by Nancy McKeon. Nancy McKeon played Jo a character on the FOL. That's like saying we can't talk about a new Mary Tyler Moore movie at the Mary Tyler Moore board. |
