It was covered on Beth Holloway's awesome show Vanished.

They also do an annual music festival in Jesse's name to keep the case alive. The police think he may have just fell in the river by accident.

I feel like this happens to often with disappearances near water. I am not saying that the Smiley Face Killer theory is valid, I believe that is just a crazy story but at the same time i always find it hard to believe a young guy can just wander into a river or lake and drown while he is drunk.

I have been wasted many times and done lots of stupid things I can't remember, i have spent almost my whole life living on or near the ocean or the east river, never once have I somehow accidentally ended up in a river or lake, i also can not swim at all.

I just don't by that theory ever unless it's a little kid because they could concievably wander into a river.
