TV More Promos for FX's "American Horror Story"

"American Horror Story" Teaser Trailers: What Is This Series About?
Aug 9, 2011
by Hanh Nguyen

"Glee" and "Nip/Tuck" producer Ryan Murphy's new series "American Horror Story" premieres on FX in October -- until then get a taste of the show's strange yet intriguing mystery with a series of new teasers.

The show stars Connie Britton and Dylan McDermott as a couple who's moved to Los Angeles with their daughter under desperate circumstances in order to rebuild their lives.

This isn't any glamorous Hollywood existence, however, once the quirky neighbors start dropping by and the house is revealed to have a dark, blood-soaked past. But that's no reason to move out, is it?

The first teaser trailer, titled 'Cello', hints at an unusual relationship between two characters:

Clue No. 2 reveals a young baby ... or is it a doll? We hear an eerie take on a familiar tune:

The next clue is titled 'Couple' and speaks for itself:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S3OmQmi9Zjc

Finally, 'Coffin' continues the head-scratchingly cool but confusing theme:

"American Horror Story" premieres on Wedenesday, Oct. 5 at 10/9c on FX.

"American Horror Story" Promo: What the Hell Is Going On?
Aug 19, 2011
by Adam Bryant

If you're wondering just how weird and spooky FX's "American Horror Story" is, just watch the newly released promo below — not that you'll get any answers from it.

The new drama from "Glee" co-creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk tells the story of the fragile Harmon family: Ben (Dylan McDermott), a therapist, and his wife Vivien (Connie Britton) move with their daughter Violet (Taissa Farmiga) to Los Angeles after Ben makes a terrible mistake that jeopardizes their family.

The only problem? Their maybe-haunted new house may not be the best place to start over.

The promo offers the first peek at the supporting cast of haunting characters, including a combustible Denis O'Hare, a floor-scrubbing maid (Frances Conroy) and her sexier counterpart (Alexandra Breckenridge), and Jessica Lange, who can't be bothered with any of this weirdness.

As for that rubber arm grabbing Connie Britton? You'll just have to wait to watch the first episode to understand that reference.

But one thing's for sure, this first look does give you good sense of just how unsettling (and head-scratching) this show is sure to be.

"American Horror Story" premieres Wednesday, Oct. 5 at 10/9c on FX. Watch the clip below:

3 Baffling Things in the New "American Horror Story" Poster
Aug 20, 2011
by Natalie Abrams

FX is weaving a whole lot of mystery into promos for their upcoming fall drama, "American Horror Story".

Take the new poster, for example, which is riddled with clues that fans won't even understand until after they've seen the premiere on Wednesday, Oct. 5 at 10/9c.

Let's take a look at three things in the poster that had us scratching our heads. [Spoilers! The clues in the poster are very circumspect, but still may tip off major events in the premiere.]

1. That half-naked redhead sprawled across the floor?

That appears to be a lady who has the same hair color as the show's protagonist, Tami Taylor Vivien Harmon (Connie Britton), a woman who has moved with her husband Ben (Dylan McDermott) and daughter Violet (Taissa Farmiga) to Los Angeles after their family goes through hard times.

Well, since this is a horror story, we assume there are harder times ahead, which is why we're scared about this lady looking rather "expectant" in the poster.

2. So who's the shiny, rubber-suited enigma doing a Cirque du Soleil act from the rafters? The way his feet are sprouting from the ceiling seems to indicate that he is connected to the house of horrors the Harmon family moves into. A plumber perhaps?

The way he's reaching out to the lady below could mean something ... but what? Maybe he just needs a hug. If you have a really sharp eye, you can see a similarly shiny arm in the recently released "American Horror Story" promo.

3. Speaking of the house, take a look at those blood-red walls and notice, well, how bloody they look. That has to mean something ... is it an indication of victims past? If so, whose victims?

Then again, red is a color that also inspires thoughts of love and passion (Aww!) ... and anger. Hmm, these elements could make for one heck of a horror story!

More "American Horror Story" Promos
by Alyse Wax
August 19, 2011

FX isn't screwing around when it comes to it's newest series, "American Horror Story".

The tale of a family trying to put themselves back together after infidelity is said to be punctuated by a significant supernatural thread. Of course, FX is keeping quiet on the specifics, but a new "extended" trailer gives us a little more insight to the world of "American Horror Story".

TV: "American Horror Story" TV Spot Shows What The Show Will Actually Look Like
Saturday, September 10, 2011
By: EvanDickson

Up until now we've seen some creepy key art and some highly stylized promo reels from "American Horror Story", but not much that gives an indication of the show's actual tone.

That changes now with a short TV spot that introduces us to the Harmons as they consider buying their new house.

Also included are three nearly identical 11-second teasers:

We've been looking forward to this show for a while now. We're big fans of Dylan McDermott, never missing an episode of The Practice. Same for Frances Conroy of Six Feet Under. There's a lot of talent in this...Jessica Lange and those hot redheads, lol. Lots of eye candy for everyone here. Thanks for posting the promos, James.
