Out of these 5 Lost 70's sitcoms, I have only seen one on Cable and the rest were local or Comcast Demand
Maude-just continues to fail in syndication and now only airs on Antenna TV on Saturday and Sunday with only one DVD release Chico and the Man-Brief exposure in 2002 on TV Land and nothing since then with no DVD releases One Day at a Time-On Cable in the 90's and seen mainly in the Chicago area and on Comcast On Demand in 2004 with only one DVD release Alice-briefly shown on ION and never on Cable atleast not since 2000 with no DVD releases Welcome Back Kotter-Shown on TV Land in 2002 and no cable exposure since with only one DVD release Would love see this sitcoms on cable some day rather rather than the same reran shows over and over. Maybe there can be a DVD set release in the future with all these shows titled "Lost Sitcoms of the 70's" LOL |

These are all shows I watched in their original runs. (Yes, I'm that old!!) I'd love to see them back on TV or on DVD!

You still have Maude weekdays until mid-September! And it is in its second run already.

I think the same. All three have been airing six days a week since January.

Nope and it last aired on American Life Network. And unedited, too.

They release the most unpopular, least likely to sell tv DVDs all the time.
I am still shocked that Welcome Back Kotter has not had all it's seasons released. Beyond the obvious John Travolta link, it is a major nostalgia show. More so than a show like Alice that lasted a lot longer. No clue why all the shows mentioned don't have more releases. |

One Day was seen on my local affiliated FOX 44 station in 1988 and maybe in the past. It aired during the summer of 88' and then was replaced with Mary Tyler Moore. It didn't get past season three. That was the morning. The afternoon, WGN 9 would air One Day at a time at 2:30 E/T during the summers in the late 80's and early 90's along with Welcome Back Kotter. I would babysit myself by watching WGN. Kotter aired on USA weekdays at 5:30pm E/T during the summer of 1991 and then early weekend mornings around 5:00am E/T. ONE DAY also aired on TBS for about seven months and then was pulled from the schedule from its 6:35pm slot in 1989. In 1988-1989, Alice aired locally on my NBC affiliated WXFL/WFLA 8 in Tampa @ 12:30. (I was mad because they wouldn't air scrabble. LOL.) TBS was also airing Alice as well right around this time and it was later pulled. E aired Alice from 1995-1997 while One Day aired from 1995-1998. Some of these netwoks did try. I'll give them that. |

Actually, you are right, Solomon. They did try with Welcome Back Kotter in 1996. It came to NAN in June 1995. It was pulled and moved to TV Land in March or April 1996.
