I seem to remember a case from back in Robert Stack days as host. This man pics up this young man hitchikng and takes him home to live with his family. The young man eventually kills his family and winds up in prison. Several years later the killer escapes from prison leaving a note saying he spent enough time in prison. The story took place in the late 50s and consider a shocker of that time. Doies anyone remember this story? Did they ever find the guy?

Are you positive that it was an UM case?

That would be Carl Alfred Eder. He was captured in 1974 but escaped and has evaded justice since. I never remembered seeing him on UM but I did on AMW. http://www.elcajonpolice.org/coldcase/Eder.htm |

Oh my gosh. I could have sworn it was unsolved mysteries. You know what it might have been missing reward. Anyone remember that show hosted by Stacey Keach? It was a lot like Unsolved Mysteries. The episodes were only 30 minutes. The last storey of every episode was always some one looking for a sertain collectable. But the others were all crimes.
