Have you ever noticed that starting with the second season the Bradys stopped acting like they were all step-siblings and sons and daughters? Most of the first season was devoted to episodes about this blended family learning to live together. Children dealing with their step parents and brothers dealing with new sisters and vice versa. Whether they needed Alice now that the boys had a new mom, Jan being allergic to the boys' dog and which doctor for the kids to use. Then by the next season those types of episodes were gone. I think they mention that a few times that the kids came from previous marriages but but for the most part they all treat each other like they had been one family from the beginning! If you had never watched the first season and skipped the opening credits you would have thought Carol had given birth to six kids!

This is what I liked about this show. The fact that they were a blended family, but became close like a real family. Most blended families (such as mine) can't stand to look at each other let alone care about each other. But, I see your point....quite unrealistic.

I think they must have run out of stories that dealt with the issues of two families learning to become one by the end of the first season. It would have been nice to see the realistic tension between Greg and Marcia as they go through puberty in the same house
The way it was dealt with in a Very Brady Sequel was hilarious though!
