Question Did Willis Ever Break Up With Charlene Or Was She Just Written Off 'Diff'rent Strokes

Was there a specific episode where Willis and Charlene broke up or did the writers just simply "write her off?"

I think I remember seeing an ep where she dumped him and mashed a pizza that had just been delivered, into his face.

That episode was from the 5th Season, but she was seen in a couple of episodes from the 6th, including the 2nd part of the wedding episode.

True. She went on to record her 2nd album around this time (I think) and then got the role of Cleo Hewitt on "Fame". That probaby had to do with the fact that she would not be on DS in a recurring role for that particular season.

And the viewers didn't need a reason why Charlene wasn't around anymore since she was just willis girlfriend. Wasn't like she was part of the family

Who can forget the time when she played Penny, the once abused and beaten child whose mom inflicted so much pain on her in the TV sitcom; Good Times?

Didn't she start off as an actress first and began singing after she did Good Times?
